Welcome to libralicous.com, my online home where I display some of my artwork and keep my blog. My name is Elusive...at least that is what everyone online knows me by. I love playing with my PSP X2 and Photoshop CS3. I have also become somewhat addicted to Apophysis for my fractals. The fractals are free for you to take and use and I hope you enjoy using them as much as I have enjoyed making them. The seamless patterns and textures are free for you to take and use, as well. To give you an idea of what you can do with fractals, below is a blend I made using the fractal Blue Hue as the background. Click on the image and it will open to a new page so you can see the full view. I also created a few blends using some of Pauline's seamless patterns/textures. When you click on them they will open to a new page, as well.

I have added a bunch of new graphics to my artwork/blends pages. Please check them out! :) I heard from my good friend last night and he and his wife made it safely to Nebraska and he is loving his new job. It may be a loss for me to lose such a wonderful friend, but I am so glad that he and his wife are happy with their decision and his new job is going so well.

I saw my hand surgeon on Tuesday and he is so impressed with the recovery on my right hand he said I am way ahead of schedule. So the surgery for the complete knuckle replacement on my left hand is scheduled for Wednesday, August 20. I will be tickled pink to have all my fingers straight again! Thank goodness for the wonderful things they can do nowadays. I will be out of commission computer wise for a bit, but it is all good. :)

Happy Monday everyone! I added four more fractals and they can be found at the bottom of Fractals page 2. I also added two more patterns and they can be found at the bottom of Patterns page 2. Enjoy!

I am having a rough day today because one of my very best friends has left this morning for Nebraska. I do not know when or if I will ever see him again. It is so difficult to lose such a good friend, one who understands me and accepts me exactly for who I am. Friends like that are far and few between. I am thinking about you Jason and I wish you Godspeed on your journey to your new job.

My husband went back to work full time on Monday and he is doing very well! I am so proud of him because he is exercising now and watching his dietary restrictions perfectly. I have always eaten a high fiber low fat diet but now he has to eat that way, as well. We are also learning to cook with Mrs. Dash because he has to have almost no sodium and very little sugar. He has lost 18 pounds already and is feeling better than he has felt for quite some time. :) I am watching him like a hawk to see that he does not stray from his diet since heart disease runs so strongly in his side of the family, but I do believe that the surgery scared him straight. ;) I am so relieved! I hope to have some time this week to update my site a bit and add some more patterns and textures. Thanks everyone for the kind messages you have lest on my tagboard. :)

It had only been two weeks since his surgery when my husband had his follow up appointment with his cardiologist this past Wednesday and he is doing very well. :) He sees the surgeon on July 2nd, and if the surgeon gives him the ok he will be going back to work already. That seems very soon to me but I guess they know what they are doing. ;) I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

I have been on my husband's case for almost a year to make an appointment with his cardiologist and he would not do it. Well, he had an episode Friday morning at work, and then another one in our back yard Saturday morning while he was trying to do a small concrete poor. To make a long story short he ended up in the ER and had triple bypass surgery Tuesday morning, June 3rd. He came home yesterday afternoon so you know he is recovering well. ;) One of his arteries was 99% closed and another one was 90% closed. I don't know about the third one because the surgeon did not right it down on the paper he gave me with the diagram of the heart. He will be home for four to six weeks and then go back to work part time at first. Now that he realizes how serious his heart disease is he is following the dietary restrictions extremely well. He starts cardio therapy after he sees his "new" cardiologist on June 18. So this experience of the triple bypass surgery has pretty much scared him straight. I have been completely exhausted from all the trips to and from the hospital and not sleeping well at night worrying about him. I am finally starting to catch up on a little sleep but once I get this wired up it takes me a while to come back down. I hope to do a few more updates soon. :)
